The early morning light filled your room, casting a unique light through your translucent (f/c) curtains as the birds chirped sweetly in the large trees surrounding your home. You groaned at the increasing brightness and rolled over in your bed, burying your face into your pillow as you tried to return to the land of sleep. You sunk down into the cozy covers and slightly smiled to yourself. Yes, this is how life should be… quiet, and cozy, and quiet… and cozy… and-

"_______!" your younger brother, (boy's name) shouted, slamming open the door to your room as he hopped onto your bed and started jumping up and down on you, "First day of school! First day of school! Wake up! Wake up!"

You moaned at his hyper attitude, but, since restful slumber has evaded you, you decided to wake yourself anyways. You sat up and pushed (boy's name) off of the bed and onto the floor where he jumped up and put his tiny hands to his hips and gave you a look. He rolled his (e/c) eyes as you rubbed your eyes and slowly climbed out of bed and pulled on your olive green robe. Your seven year old younger brother looked even smaller than he normally did in his Donald Duck pajamas and Spiderman slippers. You smoothed down his (h/c) bedhead and walked out with him to wake up the thirteen year old, (girl's name).  You shuffled tiredly, yawning every once in a while up the small spiral staircase to the living room, staring out the large window that overlooked the balcony, yard with clean green grass, and large trees before turning around and walking down the upstairs hallway, past the bathroom, master bedroom, which no one ever used since your father was never home, and into your younger sister's room without knocking. There she was, the covers kicked off due to the summer heat, (h/c) in a mess around her head, and a light snoring coming from her gaping mouth. You kicked her butt –covered in short shorts. This promptly woke her up and she slapped your foot away, mumbled something about evil chickens, and then rolled over –

Thud!

Off the side of her bed and onto the cool wooden floor. Your little sister muttered profanity under her breath as she stood and brushed herself off.

"The hell, _______?" she whined, bouncing slightly as she stared tiredly at you. You walked around the edge of her bed and gave her a side hug. You knew you didn't need to answer as (boy's name) did it for you, jumping up and down, he rambunctiously yelled out:

"FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" and proceeded to run around the living area, kitchen, knocked over multiple food and dish products in the pantry, back down the spiral staircase, through your room and small library, around the bathroom, back up the stairs, back down the hall, into his room, and finally ending up back in (girl's name) room. (Boy's name) wasn't even winded in the slightest from his physical exertion.

(Girl's name) glowered at (boy's name) and her pretty lips turned into a scowl, "(Boy's name), it's 4:37 in the morning."

With his bottom lip sticking out in a cutesy pout, (Boy's name) protested, "Well, yeah, but _______ has to go to band this morning and work on her marching routine. I wanted her to make me food."

Band, the bane of your existence during the summer and fall marching season –yet somehow, you always end up scheduled for it year after year –ever since you started playing the clarinet in sixth grade. The school schedule was always difficult for you because of your hectic home life. When (boy's name was only five, so, two years ago during your freshman year, your mother (mom's name)'s car broke, and since your father had to drive two hours to work three towns over, there wasn't a car for her to drive in. This made you end up walking (girl's name) and (boy's name) to their elementary school, then continuing on to the high school by yourself.

Budgets were tough, so she couldn't rent a car to drive around in, so she ended up riding on your uncle's motorcycle around town so she could run errands. This went on for three months, two weeks, and three days until tragedy struck.

She was at a stop sign when a man, drunk out of his wits, came barreling down the street towards her, ripping up signs, fire hydrants, and the like before slamming into her, and continuing on. She couldn't get out of the way fast enough.

When this happened, she died instantly, the force of the impact crushing her spine and neck. You didn't know and neither did your brother and sister until you took the two of them home after school that day. The three of you stayed out of school for a week to mourn her death, as well as getting out for her funeral. The man who ran her over was never found, and it made you angry to think that he was still out there –unknowing of the grief he put your family through.

After that, your father couldn't stand to look at you and your younger siblings –the three of your reminded him too much of his late wife, so, he took a promotion that made him travel a lot and barely ever came home to see you. To respect his space, entry into the master bedroom had been forbidden by you, and for once, the two youngest ones agreed. Your father, while a fearsome workaholic, also became abusive when angry due to pent up frustrations.

Because he was never home, that meant you had to take your siblings to their extracurricular activities, as well as cook them their meals. During the fall marching season when you had to arrive at school precisely at six o' clock in the morning, meaning you had to trust the apathetic (girl's name) to make sure (boy's name) made it safely to the elementary school and then get herself in one piece to the local middle school. You'd always been very overprotective of your younger siblings, but since your mother was killed, you'd become a very good Mama Bear. You had even talked your best friend Matthias into driving them to school this year.

"Matthias is going to come and pick you up this morning," you told them. (Boy's name) gleamed with euphoria.

"Seriously? Matthias is so cool!"

You nodded and rubbed your eyes, yawning before heading out of the room, "I'll get your cereal out so you can fix it when you wake up in an hour and a half. Be sure you're ready by 7:30 for Matthias to pick you up. And, by the way, (girl's name) it's five, not four." With that, you walked out and put (boy's name) back to bed.

You sighed to yourself and, as quiet as you could be going down a creaky staircase, went back to your room to dress for school.

TO BE CONTINUED...Maybe.
I'm not sure if I'll continue this or not. If you like it, then cool, and I might keep going. If not, then, ok. I don't have a plot at the moment -this just randomly came to me.
I don't really know if this will work all that well, but I would like you to vote who Reader-tan ends up with out of:

Lukas
Emil
Matthias
Arthur
Lovino
Tino
Berwald
Alfred
Allistor
